The space is great- lots of seating options fit for groups or a solo study vibe. Unfortunately, the barista team is understaffed which results in unreasonably long wait times between the time you place your order and the time you receive it. Yesterday (9/3), I waited over 30min for my iced shaken espresso - this is not typical of any coffee shop in the area. Unfortunately when my order was delivered, it was poorly made - it was a cup of iced milk with barely any espresso and the maple spice syrup (which was an additional charge) could not be detected. The person I was with also ordered an iced shaken espresso and it came out very different compared to mine (hers was made correctly). It’s a real bummer because I like the atmosphere here, but the long wait time and poorly made drink will keep me from returning. I hope they get more staff not only during peak hours, and that there is better quality control.

I stopped by for the first time last week and have been back almost everyday since. Sunset Heights Coffee is the perfect space to enjoy a good book, study and do homework, or even just catch up with friends. It’s a large space with plenty of seating inside—and they have an outside patio if you want to catch some sun. I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and vanilla. I loved how it wasn’t too sweet and the right amount of earthy. The turkey pesto panini is delicious and a perfect small lunch. Both are 10/10. Everything is reasonably priced—I paid roughly $18 for both. (good size portions though) The staff is very friendly and helpful and I enjoy seeing them every time I go in. This became one of my favorite places in El Paso and I recommend it to everyone.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Sunset Heights, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful—elegant, well-maintained, and the perfect setting for a special occasion. Cynthia was incredible throughout the entire planning process. She was attentive, responsive, and made everything feel seamless and stress-free. Her professionalism and care really stood out and made a big difference in bringing our vision to life. During the event, Cynthia and her team were just as amazing. They were organized, helpful, and ensured everything ran smoothly so we could fully enjoy our celebration. Their attention to detail and support did not go unnoticed. We’re so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Sunset Heights to anyone looking for a stunning venue with a dedicated and supportive team!

I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful wedding at Sunset Heights Co. The aesthetic was lovely, unique and warm. The bride and groom were relaxed and had a great time. Guests enjoyed the atmosphere both indoors and outside on the patio. We got some beautiful images here. This is one of my favorite coffee shops in town! Their matcha latte is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had — super smooth, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff are always friendly. It’s the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or get some work done. Highly recommend if you’re a matcha lover (or just want a great café experience)!
